Open Application for IB DP Programme – Continuous Admission

South Karelia IB World School is pleased to announce that one (1) place is currently available for the IB Diploma Programme preparatory year (pre-IB) starting in the upcoming academic year.

In addition, limited places may be available in the first year of the IB Diploma Programme (IB1) for applicants who meet the academic and age requirements.

Applications are now open through continuous admission.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted through the Finnish national application portal, Opintopolku.

Entrance examination

Applicants who do not have a Finnish comprehensive school leaving certificate (päättötodistus) will be invited to an entrance examination.

• Note: The entrance examination is by invitation only.

Admission notes

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and places will be filled as suitable candidates are admitted.

Please note:

• Only one place is available in pre-IB, and competition is expected to be high.
• Applicants seeking direct entry to IB1 must perform exceptionally well in the entrance examination and meet the appropriate age requirements for the IB Diploma Programme.
